Last Week
We had an excellent GS training block before New Years, with conditions going from soft to progressively firmer. I saw some great progress with regard to managing our COM, and cleaning up our transitions. We had some good progress in understanding the “rise line” in GS and being more patient on our outside ski. Capping the week off with some great skiing in the club Dual on the 31st; MORE DUALS!!!!
This Week
We will continue to focus on GS from thursday through Saturday, finishine the block with some SL on Sunday. We will load Thursday and Friday at 8:15am, and 7:45am on the weekend. Lets continue to work on good movement, patience on the outside ski; and understanding the “rise line”.

Please fill it in and save as Action Plan with your name and email it to me; we will then schedule Zoom meeting to go over the details next week. Only those who have emailed me the worksheet can make Zoom appointmnets. sandy@wmsc.info.
Those whoe were not at the early camps can begin with the Goalsetting TEmplate located in the documents section of the U16 page. Once you have filled in the worksheet and sent me a copy renamed with your name and goalsetting template; we will book a zoom conference to help walk you through the next steps. If you think you have a room or two to spare for this week or racing, please email Norams@wmsc.info . There will be a small stipend for each volunteer you are able to accommodate. Now is also a great time to also become a volunteer for this event and see some of the top racers from around North America. Please email NorAms@wmsc.info to secure your spot. Last Week
Thanks everyone for such a great first Holiday camp last week. We had a 7 day SL training block on Blackcomb. Main focusses were managing our Centre of Mass, working our ankles and knees to feel shin pressure and get to the front of the ski. Video from the week should be availabe on Sprongo.
We all survived a pretty cold week, and made some substantial progress.
Next Week
We will be starting our second Holiday Camp on December 27. We will be training 4 days of GS in the Dave Murray Training Centre. We will meet at the Garbo hut in the mornings, athletes will load the Fitz chair at 7:45am. Remember to bring lunch, snacks and water.
We will once again be focused on the fundamentals, Managing our centre of mass for good position, rolling onto the new ski early and generating pressure early in the turn on the outside ski. This will allow us to better control our turn shape, and have more freedom to control our line; and our speed!
Club Race
There will be a team format Club race on December 31. It will be a SL and details will follow. Watch for clubwide newsletter with a link for registration for this event.
Thursday Night training in Vancouver.
We will be offering 5 Thursday night SL training session during January and Febuary. These training nights will take plave at Grouse. Once again please read the club newsletter for details on registering for this training. Registration will be for the entire series. The club will not be offering individual training nights. This is necessary for planning our staff and equipment needs; as well as lift tickets etc.

Everyone please enjoy a tremendous Holiday; and Happy __________________(your celebration of choice).
