Hi Everyone,

The U14 group in Sun Peaks is currently enjoying a well-deserved day off-snow. I thought you may all be keen for a little recap of what our pre-season camp has been like to far!

The snow conditions are pretty good here in Sun Peaks, especially on the training centers. The resort’s opening weekend definitely brought crowds, but the group managed to stay focused on technical free skiing. The excitement was real on everyone’s first day back on snow and has carried through the first slalom block – we’re all looking forward to the rest of the camp!

We have now had four days of slalom training, including an early morning training block yesterday, running a series of stubbies, panel slalom, and drill courses. Today’s program included down time to catch up on schoolwork, doing some goal setting, ice skating at the local rink, watching ski movies and racing, and a short dryland session.

The team is back on snow tomorrow for the start of our GS block, which will bring us to Sunday mid-day.
