Kick-off, AGM and Fitness Assessments | Saturday, November 6th -9:00 am at Whistler Secondary School

We kick off the season on Saturday, November 6th from 9 am to 2 pm. at the Whistler Secondary School.


9:00 WMSC Welcome and Introductions by Rob Toole, BOD Chair(All) 9:15 Coaches Introductions ( All)

10:00 ED Presentation – A Vision for Development by Michael Janyk, ED (All)

10:15 Volunteering- opportunities and events by Abbie Milavsky (Members)

10:15 Fitness Testing – (Coaches and athletes)

10:45 What it means to be a Champion in Life – A Values exercise – Your voice needed (Members)

11:30 AGM ( Members only)

12:00 Kick off and AGM meeting ends (Members)

14:00 Fitness testing ends and athletes pick up.

To join this event, athletes and Members must be fully vaccinated. Please bring your proof of vaccination and government ID (over 18) ready.


WMSC Registration Forms | Athlete Code of Conduct, Teamship Values, Medical Disclosure

All the WMSC Registrations forms are due now and they are mandatory to participate on the Pre-Season Camps. Please review, sign and upload to your Active Racer Accounts or email back to by Friday, November 5th.

You will receive a separate email if your forms are outstanding.


WB Waivers must be completed by November 27th

In addition to the WB Season pass waiver, parents must complete the WB Competition, Racing and Training Waiver. This must be completed for parents and all athletes registered to WMSC winter programs. Deadline November 15, 2021.


Volunteer Opportunities with WMSC Races

It has been over 18 months since our club has hosted a ski race. Now is the time to get involved and ensure that our events are fun, safe and successful. There are lots of ways for both new and experienced parents to volunteer.

Alpine Committee

-Responsible for all our club hosted races. The committee plans the overall race calendar, officials and volunteer training, and recruiting our Race Organizing Committees
-If you love racing and want to be involved, we would love to have you
-We are looking for U12, U14 and U16 parents. Contact if you are interested

Level 1 Officials Course

-Introduction to ski racing, no experience required (you don’t need to have ever watched a ski race)
-December 11th at 830 am at the club cabin
-Sign up opens Monday, November 8th

Level 2 Officials Course

-Want to learn how to be a Chief of Race? Or a Start Referee?
-If you have race volunteer experience, please sign up

Race Organizing Committees

-Get involved in making each event a success. Share your experience or get involved for the first time
- WMSC is hosting the following races. Email if you want to help out

  • U16 Coast Zone, Jan 13 – 16
  • U14 Coast Zone, Jan 22 – 23
  • U12 Janyk Cup, Feb 12 – 13
  • FIS BC Cup DH and SG, Mar 3 – 7

Whistler Cup, April 7 – 10

• Lots of volunteer opportunities available both on and off the hill.
