Guest Athletes
Join us for a few days or couple weeks. All of our programs are open to guests ages 10 and up from the local area or around the globe. Our professionally trained Alpine Ski Coaches will make you feel welcome and improve your skills at any level of racing.
Every year racers from around the world join us while on their family vacations, before local race series, specifically for camps, events or just because they were in town. Our guest racers join us from Australia, Europe, Great Britain, the US and as close as the Vancouver ski clubs. If you are looking to get tuned up or find a racing program while on vacation contact us for coaching.
Guest racers should have some experience in training and racing in gates relative to their age and stage of development. In addition, guest racers should be prepared to ski all terrain in all conditions. Whistler can receive large amounts of snow all at once, varying from fantastic powder to heavy wet snow. In these conditions guest racers must have the appropriate skis and equipment for these type of conditions to ski with their assigned group. A recommended minimum width of a powder ski would be 80mm.
In addition to having the appropriate skill level and equipment to train, a written recommendation from the guest racer's instructor, coach, club or sport organization is required. This will help the staff in assigning the guest to the correct group and can prevent any potential confusion regarding the ability level of the guest.
The Whistler Mountain Ski Club would reserve the right to deny training to the guest if the coaching staff see that guest's ability did not fit with any of the groups in the Club. In this case, WMSC would be happy to provide information regarding which programs in the Whistler Blackcomb Ski School would be appropriate for the guest.
