Whistler Cup | help us capture memories

We hope you are enjoying the energy at the Whistler Cup event! If you haven’t stop by yet, come and be part of the action for the last couple of days. End of the Year Awards Ceremony and BBQ | Saturday, April 20 by RSVP

Join us on Saturday, April 20th at the Whistler Secondary School (WSS) to recognize our athletes’ performances and successes. Meet at the MPR room at WSS from 6 to 9 pm.

To help with logistics, please register/ RSVP every member of the family attending the BBQ and Awards. There is no charge for the event.

May Ski Camps | Minimum of 40 registrations to run each camp

We must reach a minimum of 40 racers per camp but we still need to fill 15 spots per camp. If you are planning to attend, register now and help us close the gap and ensure the delivery of these camps!

Join us for our May Ski Camps at the Whistler Peak T-Bars! These camps mark the start of the 2024-25 season, with racers transitioning to their new teams.

Our focus is on enhancing technical skiing though integrated training environments. These camps involve high volume, lower intensity session as lots drill courses. There will be dryland included.

NGSL Spring Fling | May 4-5 | U10 and U12 | $190
• Build your GS Platform | May 9-12 | U14-FIS | $350
• Speed, Agility and Balance SL Camp | May 17-20 | U14- FIS | $35
- Registration deadline April 15, 2024

To join the May camps, ensure you are registered/renewed for the 2024-25 WMSC and BC alpine Memberships and pay the winter program fee deposit. All racer accounts must be current.

Whistler Cup | April 11-14 | In the know!

In just a week’s time, we will be welcoming teams from over 20 nations to Whistler for the 32nd anniversary celebration of the Whistler Cup!

The Whistler Cup is a full fledged, immersive four-day event that promises our young athletes an unforgettable experience. From world-class competition and exhilarating racing to an abundance of off-hill events: the parade, team dinners, welcome and closing ceremonies and more. But most importantly, it offers our racers the invaluable opportunity to forge connections with fellow racers from diverse cultures, countries and backgrounds.

As the countdown to this occasion continues, we can hardly contain our excitement. Get ready for an extraordinary journey filled with thrills, camaraderie, memories that will last lifetime.

End of the Year Awards Ceremony and BBQ | Saturday, April 20 by RSVP

Coaches Appreciation

In the next few days, each family will be charged $50 per athlete for end of the season tips. This goes to the coaches for the enormous commitment that they make throughout the season. Tips are distributed amongst the coaches within each age category relative to the days that they worked through the season and coaches will get their tips at the end of the season.

June Ski Camp | Cancelled

We have received news form Whistler Blackcomb that they have made the decision to close all ski operations for both Whistler and Blackcomb mountains on May 20th. Unfortunately, this means we won’t be able to proceed with our planned June ski camps as intended. However, stay tuned for the exciting summer programs we have in store for you off the hill.

2024-25 Host families needed for exchange students/racers

We are excited to invite our WMSC families to participate in the homestay program at WSS. For next season, we have two male ski racers from Spain who are eager to join our FIS team for their first year and are seeking the chance to stay with a racing family. This presents a fantastic cultural exchange opportunity for everyone involved. If you are interested, please reach out to us at blanca@wsmc.info

Lost and Found | Deadline, Wednesday, April 3rd.

Just a reminder to please check the lost and found at the Club Cabin for any belongings you may have misplaced. Any unclaimed items remaining after Wednesday, April 3rd will be donated to the Re-use it Centre.

Dave Murray and Jordan Schick Bursaries | Nominations deadline Wednesday, March 31st

All 2nd year U16 to U21 Athletes who are enrolling to 2024-2025 WMSC season are eligible to receive any of the WMSC Bursaries. These are financial awards which can be applied to further your participation in pre-season camps, extended programming and races. Dave Murray and Jordan Schick set an example in the Ski Racing community and it is in this spirit that we are pleased to honor them with these bursaries.

The purpose of the WMSC bursaries is to support, promote, encourage and sponsor WMSC Teamship Values, sportmanship, leadership and passion for ski racing. These bursaries recognize U16 to U21 athletes who exemplify these qualities.

Dave Murray Bursary
Dave Murray is well known as one of the Crazy Canucks! He ski raced in the same hills as our athletes race today. He left us a legacy: The Dave Murray Bursary of $750 and plaque or trophy awarded to one racer, either gender.

Nominations will be made by coaches for 2nd year U16 athletes moving to U18, U18 or U21 racers with financial need, committed to the the sport; that shows athletic ability and potential to rise in alpine ski racing.

Jordan Schick Bursary
The family of Jordan Schick awards a $750 bursary and plaque to one WMSC racer, either gender in Jordan’s memory. Jordan lost his life in a car accident while he was a WMSC racer.

Nominations will be made by coaches and the bursary will be awarded to one racer in the 2nd year U16 moving to U18, U18 or U21 program

Girls Fast Forward | April 17 – 20

The Girls Fast Forward Camp will take place at Sun Peaks on April 17 – 20. It is open for Graduating U14, U16 and FIS female ski racers. It is an amazing camp you don’t want to miss. This camp is organized by BC Alpine and it is parent led. Click here to learn more and to register
