Sun Peaks November 4th 2026
Good afternoon parents,
Sun Peaks
Our preseason Sun Peaks camp is a GO for November 13-18, with a small group of athletes attending! I am happy to announce that Jeff Lackie will be coaching our group of U12 athletes at this camp. Those who have registered for the camp will be added to a camp specific WhatsApp chat for camp specific communications. If any of you are experiencing FOMO and would now like to join the camp, reach out to me directly to see if we are able to accommodate the addition. Lastly, those who are attending should get out and try on all ski gear this week, everything from socks to goggles, to ensure that everything fits and is in good condition for the camp. If your skis have not been tuned or are ready for skiing, they should be dropped off to a shop right now so they are good to go for Sun Peaks.
Every parent should now have joined our U12 Team 26/27 on WhatsApp. If you have not joined, please request to join now.
Please ensure you have access to the “U12 Lead Coach Update” group as well as the “U12 Parent Chat” group. The “U12 Lead Coach Update” group, is for one way communication, from me to you, which will include updates regarding the U12 program during the on snow season. The “U12 Parent Chat” is for you, the parents, to converse with one another as needed. Please ensure questions regarding registration and administration are directed to the office, not in a group chat.
Parent Rep
Our U12 group is in need of a parent rep. This role is responsible for organizing the socials for U12 and to support the volunteer coordinator with the on snow races and events. This position would be well suited to someone who likes organizing the off-hill FUN so that our athletes can continue building friendships and our parents too! Please email me if you are interested in this important role.
Equipment
Recommendations here.
Note, athletes who are on the smaller/taller than the average U12, or, any athlete that is new to racing, please email me directly so we can discuss the right equipment for your athlete.
Have a great week!
