U16 & FIS Chile Trip
The U16 & FIS teams are back from Chile, just in time for the start of the school year. There are many more videos and photos to be shared from this trip. Stay tuned to our social channels as we share more in the coming week.
Fond Farewell
This week we waved goodbye to Sandy and Jeff J who have both returned to Ontario. They will both be missed and we wish them a safe journey back East. We hope they will both be back for a visit soon!
UCI World Cup Mountain Bike Downhill
The UCI World Cup Mountain Bike Event is coming to Whistler and rolling into the timings flats at Creekside. While the Race Events will be on the weekend of September 26-27, WMSC will be hosting SRAM/Rockshox from September 18th to 28th in the Club Cabin. They will be using the car park and most indoor spaces exclusively throughout this time.
The Gym will continue to be in full use exclusively for WMSC athletes and Alumni and partners. The office space will continue to be in use for our club operations team.
The Parking lot will be in use for SRAM/Rockshox - drop off and pick up zones still active for Club members as needed. Please seek alternative parking throughout this time.
Call for nominations for the Board of Directors
The Nominating Committee is seeking qualified candidates to play a key role in the stewardship and leadership of the Club. Directors are expected to support the Club’s core values while contributing key governance attributes and leadership skills to the Club.

Sea to Sky Pass
In order to purchase a Sea to Sky Student Pass through your competitive club eligibility, as the member athlete’s parent or guardian, you must follow the steps below:
Update your online account with a valid credit card
Read Epic Coverage Terms and Conditions * below and on line
Forward an Email wbpassadmin@vailresorts.com providing the member athlete’s full name and date of birth. This transaction is not possible over the phone or in person.
When sending an email, please ensure the purchaser indicates acceptance of Terms & Conditions as below.
Confirm the last 4 digits of the credit card on account.
Current rates until early October are: Sea to Sky Teen: $600 Sea to Sky Child: $530 – plus gst. There will be increases after that, as yet unscheduled and rates not yet announced.
72 hours notice is required in order to ensure the rates above are still available.

Winter 2026/2027 Registrations
Thank you to those who have registered for Winter 26/27. Please ensure when you register, you complete all 3 of the following:
Family Membership - 1 per family in the name of a parent/guardian
BC Alpine License - 1 per athlete
Program Registration - 1 per athlete

We have active waitlists for U10 - U16 programs and as we confirm additional coaches, we will open spaces for programs - as soon as we can.
You will receive a link from ACTIVE as soon as a space opens up.
Program pricing for waitlisted athletes is determined by the date they were added to the waitlist. For families that are joining the Club for their first season, please ensure you read the information in relation to the Volunteer Bond and ensure payment is completed to finalise your athlete registration.
BCASF Donation
For families wishing to pay part of their program fees via the BCASF Donation - Developing Champions Project, payment is due by September 30th for families that have registered for programs. If the donation amount exceeds the balance of the program registration, the remaining amount will be be on your racer account as a credit for future use. Please forward the receipt of payment to info@wmsc.info as early as possible.

Dryland Training Schedule
We are back with Fall Dryland training in North Vancouver and Whistler.
The schedule is as follows this week:
Participation is available for these sessions for all 26/27 Program Registered Athletes. U16 & FIS teams will receive detailed program information.
For U10-U14s attending North Van. or Saturday Sessions, please register in ACTIVE (no charge) so we can plan coaching needs accordingly. These have typically been large groups and this greatly helps with ensuring we have all resources in place:

Volunteer Portal Update
Our club is fueled by amazing support from our Volunteers each year and we are continuing to develop ways that families can contribute, with ease of finding available shifts and tracking hours. Our goal is to ensure a smooth experience for families to ensure that commitments can of hours and allow our Volunteer Co-ordinator
This year, we are utilizing a new platform called Vome, to track and record each families’ hours for a smoother it much easier to coordinate.
We are rolling out the new platform, starting with the annual Ski Swap. Each parent/guardian will create an account and nominate the athlete they are recording hours for. Hours completed will be logged throughout the season, you’ll check in and out at each event or race and can easily see how many hours you have done. You can use this platform from your device, or use the App to select shifts, check in and check out.
We will load the shifts for the Ski Swap here and additional information will be coming in the next week.
Active Racer Platform - Credit Card - Please Read
Credit Card on File Now Required
We have recently updated our policy in relation to Active Racer Accounts.
It is now a club policy for all members.
A valid credit card on file will serve as the default payment method for any outstanding balance (e.g., trip reconciliations adjustments). If an invoice remains unpaid 30 days past its due date, WMSC will process payment using the card on file, and you'll always be notified in advance before any such charge occurs.
