Mostly focusing on the BC Cup and Pontiac GMC Cup series our elite FIS programs trains athletes year-round on and off the hill in all aspects of training. WMSC FIS graduates can be found at all levels of the Canadian National Ski Team, National Junior Team, National Prospect group and Provincial Team. Our goal is to develop strong skiers and superior racers.

J1 (first 2 years of FIS)
The clear objectives for this team are to develop the athletes further in the train-to-train and compete modules while exposing them to the rigors and rewards of hard work and personal success. All athletes will have committed time to their academics in the off-season and evenings to offset their 4-day per week schedule. The team will key in on the Coast Zone National Point series as well as designated "Head to Head" races in order to meet norms for the BC Alpine Ski Team and competitive point profiles for their year of birth. Pre-competitive season includes approximately 30 days on snow while the competitive season comprises over 100 days. No specialization will take place at theis juncture. All disciplines will be trained and raced.

The Contest
The contest lasts for moments
Though the trainings taken years
It wasn?t the winning alone that
Was worth the work and the tears
The applause will be forgotten
The prize will be misplaced
But the long hard hours of practice
Will never be a waste
For in trying to win, you build a skill
You learn that winning depends on will
You never grow by how much you win
You only grow by how much you put in
So any new challenge you?ve just begun
Give it your best and you?ve already won
